sequels and remakes are good if they're done well, but I do get concerned about the generations who are new to these movies (weren't born when the originals were first released). They're being force fed hand-me-downs and tarted-up versions of the original essence that are repackaged and given new costumes and modern premises. WHERE HAS THE ORIGINALITY GONE?

Have we as a society gone full-circle now that no real next generation of movies like Indiana Jones, Star Wars or ET or Aliens or Pulp Fiction? With the advent of another Star Trek movie we've got The A-Team in production - who is the next Stanley Kubrick? Where are the scripts in Hollywood that the movie execs are discounting - not from the merit of the writing but the risky ass-on-seat quotient? Grrrr! Makes my blood boil.
