It really bothers me whenever someone says the word, "faggot" out loud, to a wide audience and/or in public. I went to Urban Dictionary and looked it up, and it seems like the word has transformed into being an insult to anyone rather than just homosexuals. I guess knew this already, but I know some people who use it in the context of homosexuality. Am I being too much of a prude?
I don't have any personal experience with this word, but I think I'm in the pool of people who believe that mental violence is more destructive than physical violence, although, to me, both are almost at the same level.
