This dude must be immersed in a community where this is acceptable: friends are all tattoo artists or musicians or whatever. Could you imagine being a "normal" person and being this guys' friend and trying to introduce him to anyone outside of that culture? He's pidgeonholed himself into one segment of society, but if he's content, more power to him
