  dobs - the issue with NATO is quite complicated in terms of representation, intention and action - especially from a european perspective. NATO issues are particularly relevant this week with the recent Balkan developments.

  this sounds abstract but so much of european politics is.

  It's funny that the Lisbon treaty was brought up a few posts up as NATO is intertwined with this too...
