McCasland, who is acting as a scout in the search, said there was a "glimmer of hope" this morning when another scout heard a sound that could be Moe. But McCasland said the search remains difficult, particularly without planes or helicopters searching from the sky.
Moe escaped June 27 from his cage at Jungle Exotics, a sanctuary in Devore that trains animals for TV and movies. Moe is believed to be in a nearby section of the San Bernardino National Forest.
