So I did my first party gig for this girls sweet 16. Her mom is like a Photoshop teacher. So I charged a low rate to be nice, because it was my first time. So I go to the party, shoot images, and see this family friend with the same body and a 430EX flash. Didn't really mind, even though in the contract it stated that the said equipment should not be at the party anyway. So the pictures were fine, but the mom was all pissy because "oh, you didn't have a flash and my friend did" "why could of have looked at the place before hand" etc.
1. you violated the contract by having similar equipment to mine (i was really close to pulling that card on her)
and 2.
the place was fucking 20 miles away, how on earth could I make time to go there? your fault for not even notifying me on the room specifics when i asked.
i eventually refunded half of what she paid because i didn't want to hear her BS to me.
