I am doing the world's most boring thing today. I am working on a children's horror fiction book cover. Previously I had drawn millions of spikey thorns coming out of the flower bed and clawing round the character like he was being attacked by spider's legs (sort of thing) they took ages to get right.
The client looked at them and said they were great but that they were too smooth and obviously just vector lines. He was quite right about that, so today I'm applying knuckles and kinks and thousands of tiny spines... one at a time, by hand.
Jeesh. Gawd Help me.
