much of what's been covered is an absolute must. also, you should definitely go to coney island. it's easy on the train and you can't get much more nyc than coney island. go in the afternnoon and stay through the evening. ride the cyclone, see the freaks. it has comparatively resisted the significant changes NY has encountered in the last decade or so. fun for sure.
