around 33rd and 10th ave is an entrance (behind a fence or two) to the old 10th ave highline, an abandoned above ground railway that used to be the primary freight delivery system to and from the factories on the west side. you can walk it from 33rd down to the meatpacking district. interesting viewpoint and some nice visuals along the way.
