    This week I got my first ever commercial commission for my hand drawn work. It was not a great brief, but it represented the beginning of the end for my computer-based image making. This is the beginning of my time as an illustrator who creates things purely by hand based on what I see in my mind's eye.

    The breif was pretty shitty: little iddyy biddy bits of tiny this&that spattered across a spread that was heavy with column text. But I did what I could with it, and was incredibly nervous about sending it off, and then client emailed back to say "Looks amazing, thanks for doing a great job".

    So I have earned a very humble commercial fee for what I can do with a pencil on paper. I am a very happy person this evening.
