i suggest punk rock karaoke at arlene grocery @ 95 Stanton (lower east side) you can sing to you fav metal/puck songs backed by a live band! if your not into karaoke then it's always hillarious to watch.
i also recommend enids and the pencil factory in greenpoint for drinks. red and black in billburg is good also. the turkey's nest on 12th and bedford in billburg always has $3 drafts.
check out zakka on grand and printed matter on 23rd for sure.
