You should also pick up a copy of The Onion (they're on street corners here) because the back sections show all of the best music playing in town that week.
The Guggenheim is having a classics of Modern art show. Anything with brancusi excites me. Be sure to check out all of the free galleries in Chelsea too. It's between 10 and 11 ave on streets 19-27. At least one gallery per street or so.
