Interesting. I have read over and over it's not worth switching to any 64-bit version of Windows (mainly due to driver issues and alot of 3rd party software not working), but glad to hear it's working for you. I think you hit an important point, it's not the OS but the software that is usually not written to take advantage of 64-bit processors. It's the same with multi-core processors, most applications don't take advantage (although this is changing).
