The wifey and i had a 3 yr old and one on the way by the time we tied the knot. It wasn't anything besides the fact that we knew we were gonna be together and didn't feel the need to go thru all the hassle of an actual wedding. Of course, my wife's opinion on that changed, but it was never a point of contention. We were essentially saying "Now WE want to do this" rather than doing it because of what other people thought.
