I was just about to shut down and hit the bed when from upstairs came the sound of my little baby girl screaming like every terrible was going on and pleading "mummy mummy mummy please" in a terrible sounding voice. Holy Hell, I was up those stairs before I'd even got up off the sofa. She was almost too hot touch and talking the craziest talk for a nearly two year old. Her speech is really well advanced for her age, she has a huge vocabulary and all the words were rushing forth out of her like she was speaking in toungues.
Her temperature now seems to have regulated again and I've left my wife (we're not married) to sooth her back down (her idea to send me out) but she's still up there now talking like a crazy person.
She was so distressed and then really confused for many minutes. After we'd been in there a while and stripped her down, she finally rested her eyes on me for long enough to recogniseme, then she said "oH! Its Daddy's Chin!" and grabbed my nose, wrenched it round and nearly pulled it right off.
I hope she's okay.
- There's no sense of panic like the one you feel when your child is in distresslocustsloth
- See...I never wanted children before but it's almost like a whole different experience that anyone capable of handling should have.Jaline
- So, basically, I'm still not sure I want a child 24/7, but I also don't think I don't want one.Jaline
- Its really weird but I spent so long convinced I would never have a child and then a timeSpookytim
- came when I knew it was what I wanted. I would never want to go back to life before parenthood.Spookytim
- Our son has night terrors – basically nightmares where he looks like he’s awake, but he’s sleeping...MrOneHundred
- They happen when he gets over-heated from too many blankets. Sounds like you kid was having one.MrOneHundred
