Spooky, some people I know (in Toronto) manage to get bootlegged stuff that is fine. Or they just sell normal DVDs (probably downloaded from a torrent site right before the film comes out on DVD) for a fraction of the price that "regular" stores would sell or even rent them for. So it's worth it in that respect, and the quality is great. But if the film came out very recently, I wouldn't trust any copy of that film (unless it's right before the Oscars, when screening DVDs go out to voters and they somehow make their way onto torrent sites).

It's weird that he'd be giving out Transformers though. That one was out for a while.

    • No no, Transformers was what I bought way back before it's UK release. It had been video'd in a US cinemaSpookytim
    • The film he offered me today was that animated robot cleaning up earth Wally or whatever.Spookytim
    • But these are second gen good copies, they are utter pish, filmed in a cinema on a mini-DV.Spookytim
    • yeah, there are torrent files available all over (probably where the DVDs he has originated from) of camera copies and other shite versionsJaline
    • copies and other shite versions. Surprisingly, people do download these copies just to watch when they don't have money or something.Jaline
    • money or something. Or they are completely obsessed with a particular film and HAVE TO WATCH IT NOW. Weird.Jaline
