saw hellboy 2 this weekend.
was not what i was expecting. very much a harry potter / dark crystal affair. (directed towards youths) i got out and started picking it apart with my friends. got home and started picking it apart further with my girlfriend - she was a good sport. she didn't see it, but she listened to me critique and comment on it for about an hour.
visually it was gorgeous, and the director is quite a creative mind. the worlds he imagines are astounding, but beyond that it kind of felt flat and under developed.
still, even before writing this i feel like i'd really like to see it again.
