Sheryl Crow has got to be, hands down, one of the most awful musicians on the planet.
i heard part of a song on the way to work today called "gasoline" i'm assuming it was meant to be a satire of gas prices, which, can i say, is just achingly fresh, but it was written the same way she has written her 23 other hits. same chords, same sugar pop production, vapid songwritting for elementary school girls. is it pure lack of talent or is it an attempt to make socially aware a demographic that would only pay attention to current events if it was mentioned on laguna beach or in a hollister ad?
as a musician it enraged me.
as a human being with ears and a fair sense of hearing it made me change the station.
why do talented people die, kill themselves, or get killed, while piles of waste like her get to re-record that same fucking song 23 times?
