You have no idea mate, I started as a tape to tape editor a while ago right and this is a fucking classic..
I was editing a pitch together for a client it was really simple just one ad after another, but it was very rushed time was important so I used the tape to tape suite as this would be the quickest way of getting a master together, so I compiled the master for her then she went off. She complained how it took longer than a non linear suite would have taken so I wrote back to her and told her about time and physics and how could it possibly take longer?.... you see as play the tape once it recorded a master, if I digitise the tape I still have to play it out again taking twice the time it would for me to do it tape to tape.!!!!!.
