Yeah like others said, just go into your utilities folder and click on "Disk Utility" Then you can click "New Image" and select what you want to make an image out of. It will create the image (with the "dmg" extension), and then you can burn it to disc from there.
You can also mount the image just by double clicking on the image file itself.
