    actually, considering the canon 5dmk2 is due by september and will likely destroy the d700 in image quality, megapixel count (if that's your thing), speed and low light sensitivity, this probably isn't perfect timing. the 5 will probably be closer to $3500 as opposed to $3000, but this is a rather underwhelming camera all things considered.
