The best things to say should come from the heart especially if you go back a long time and you are close with the (wife, families, etc.). Think traditional stuff.
If the couple is "eccentric" and "do their own thing" be creative, expressive, and feel free to mention the beauty of the goth venue, the music, the blending of creative powers and blah, blah blah. Most important wish them happiness and many wonderful years together filled with a love that will last through the toughest of times only add your own personal references
