  "hasn't anyone noticed that the cover design doesn't even follow the synopsis of the book?"

  i'm not sure that is the primary purpose of a book cover though. I can't think of many covers that give you the synopsis visually.

  i could be wrong, but i have tried to approach it by refining a basic element of the story (the island) into a cover using as few elements as possible.

  i'm no illustrator so i had no real choice but to approach it like this.
