  Well TheBlueOne, seeing as how French archers took aim at Leonardo's clay model of Il Cavallo, the 24- foot-high, 15-ton bronze statue of a Horse as they strolled into Italy, I'd say yes, even way back when people shot at things for shits n giggles.
