  One time during a childhood birthday party at the local Chuck E. Cheese I remember being totally fascinated. This kid dressed in a Michael Jackson red lather jacket with metal mesh was dancing in front of the giant animatronic lion dressed like Elvis. Clearly this kid, who was older than me at the time, gave himself completely over to the illusion, bereft of himself. As he continued to react and talk back to the robot between its prerecorded songs I realized he was the one putting on the show. He was using "it." What a sick mirror for ourselves these things have become. I realized it even then.
