Things like this are only remarkable in that had they not happened they would not be worth mentioning. You only notice when coincidences happen, not when they don't.
ie, it's amazing how many people don't bump into old acquaintances at the top of the empire state building, litterally millions every year, but you only hear about the ones that do. Coincidences are for people who don't understand probability :)- so it not magic then********
