I tend to think that if the folks in the middle ages and other less-than-uplifting points in history, all had internet and tv and iPods and cars and mass transportation, mass communicatin, excitation, defloration, automatic salvation, transgender nation, and political decapitations...and heard about every second of it from everywhere in the world at any given time...they'd be on a doomsday bummer trip too.
