The cost of living in Leeds is off the scale! It fancies itself as London... it is not! They are building flats wherever they find space, and they are all poor quality, tiny windowed cells that are already falling into disrepair... but they all cost a fortune! :/ A pint costs over £3 and mixers and cocktails are anything from £5 to £12...
And just like jamble said, the salaries in Leeds aren't rising with the cost of living!
I generally found web design salaries to be between £16k and £25k (if you're very lucky). I know one agency that offers a web design service that can't even afford to employ a new web designer since their last one left... They've been telling their clients for weeks now that the web designer is on holiday! lol
I got out while I could... and happier for it!
