Was planning on putting a shelf over my desk, got a nice white wall shelf that's the perfect size, but the only way I can use it is to wall mount (the desk is a hollow core door, already has enough weight on it...). Went to drill the first hole and found out beyond the .5" of plaster is a whole shitload of sheet metal that just ate the drill bit up. Fuck. Add to all this I've been hand sanding down guitar necks all day so my fingers are a little bloody and sore. I guess I'll just have to find a solid alternative for a desk top- 7'x3' about, trying to keep things cheap...
