according to the sleuthing I've done on ancestry.com, if you go back to the 1000s or so I'm descended from some king of Sweden named something the Horrible (I don't feel like looking it up at the moment). When I went to look up info on this guy it turns out Gore Vidal is also descended from his blood line. So I guess I'm a very distant cousin of Gore Vidal.
