In all seriousness, my best friend asked me to be his best man at his wedding.
I told him no.
I still can't put into the words the drunk, shocked looked expression on his face when he asked me. He was none too happy actually. But I made the right decision for him.
Of course I showed up to his house the day of the wedding two hours late, not in my tux, and he was flipping out, but everything went pretty quick to storybook after that so I was glad I made the right decision.
