while we're on the topic of war movies i just watched this doc about hollywood and the militaries relationship on creating films from Top Gun to Platoon to the Jessica Lynch story. The U.S. Army secret services have had close ties with American filmmakers for several decades having a hand in everything from watering down stories to producing actual propaganda.
