I found it to be deep and thoughtful on a number of levels.
for instance - why doe that rabbit have such a long ass tail? And why is it all out of proportion... looking like some weird werebunny.
Is the razor responsible for all the hair coming off the bunny? Or was is the sheer speed it was traveling? If it wasn't the speed, how did the bunny use the razor if it doesn't have thumbs?
Why is the bunny even used in the first place? The story is really all about the engines, it could just as easily have been a chair.
So the really stirring question is... what is the bunny really? Is it a metaphor for man's struggle with nature? Perhaps it is a physical manifestation of the earth in this instance... internal combustion engines denuding the planet is man's never ending search for speed, trying to satisfy his unyielding urge to always go faster, not caring what his consequences are.
Heady stuff indeed. I will spend the weekend pondering this.
