the hot area won't be found by most people. maybe if you had a downward pointing arrow fade in when you near the hotspot or something?
and the reason people have been giving you hard time is because you didn't say this was your site and that you wanted feedback.
posting a site under hidden premises always reeks of spam. and the qbn'rs can sniff spam like a pig sniffs truffles.
