    It is a programmable platform, if you jailbreak it there's hundreds if not thousands of apps available for it.
    Mine does:
    - mms
    - single sms erasing
    - sms forwarding
    - send contacts via sms
    - voice recording (video available, but I never used it)
    - file storage
    - hidden videos/pics
    - a switch to get rid of the writing hints
    - youtube downloads
    - last.fm playback over wifi and scrobbling of what I play on iPod to my account
    - reads ebooks/pdfs/docs/xls/
    - google talk, skype
    - text editing
    - multi-lang dictionary
    - sending files (including mp3s)
    - remote touchpad for the computer www.touchpadpro.com

    Some of these apps will be available through AppStore, but some will never make it there because they run in the background (not allowed for AppStore apps)
