    I think that we are lacking (or simply not using) the vocabulary to discuss this meaningfully nor does it seem that Watson does. There is potential intelligence, knowledge base, pattern recognition etc etc. It is horrifyingly generic to refer to smart or intelligence in any kind of comparison between people or groups.
