I'm just speculating here. But its based off of a lot of previous discussions on political tv/radio.
Hillary was rumored months ago to bow out if Obama was willing to help pull her out of the debt she put herself into. But the truth was she wasn't ready to give up then due to the risk of disenfranchising a whole bunch of people who gave her money.
Now that the end is more than just here, she's probably trying to get recouped before she pulls out. Obama realizes he doesn't have to pay for her to leave. Thus she won't go away. It's like the mosquito in your bedroom.
I think the party is finally going to make her go away though.
