In high school, this kid in my art class tried to make his own wine, he mashed up a bunch of grapes and filled these gallon jugs with it and stoppered them. One night he woke up to the sound of shards of glass whizzing by his head, he had forgotten to allow for expansion of air in the jugs. Apparently the stink and mess was monumental.
