My wife, who likes Lost, but keeps that rational "WTF" attitude about the whole show, made a very interesting point:
Why did Ben move the island if he knew all the mercenaries that "threatened" the island were dead...
My reply was that he needed to move it so the survivors he "allowed" to leave (Jack, Kate, Sayid...) couldn't tell anyone where its located.
If she'd have called "bullshit", I'd have been in trouble...
Help me out here and give me you're theory.
- Also, the head soldier told him that they'd never stop coming after him and the island, so it's just better to move it now.Jaline
- B/c ppl (probably with Widmore) had already reached the island throughout the season. Naomi and crew = suspicious.Jaline
- Yes. Thanks J.blackfrancis
- But does that ean Ben doesn't know where the island is either? Thus, "once you move the island, you can't come back"blackfrancis
- He's now manipulating Jack,Kate, etc... to get back to the island for his own selfish reasons... Maybe...blackfrancis
- I wonder if he actually thinks he won't be going back to the island (ie. he dies?) b/c he had to perform the task.Jaline
- But we know he doesn't from the future clips. Well...we think we know.Jaline
- He's had his whole life + Richard to discover the secrets of the island. Secret things + his Dharma...blackfrancis
- knowledge = a hardcore (near religious) fanatic + a man versed in science. What is Jesus was just in rotation...blackfrancis
- (What if) duh... What if Jesus was in rotation... what if someone's savior didn't matter. What if what needs...
blackfrancis - saving is a place or ideal. And only one person is the true carekeeper of that.blackfrancis
- also - the last thing in the timeline of Lost we know about is the last scene of the Season 4 Finale.blackfrancis
