    kult's theory about Widmore makes sense. There's a theory going around that the island appeared UNDER the Black Rock and that's why it's in the middle of the island. Maybe Widmore was on it and that's why he was buting the painting of it at the auction a couple episodes back. THen, as kult suggests, he turned the frozen donkey wheel and was banished
