@blackfrancis, ^ Yes, arguably the coolest fucking scene in the episode.

I'm starting to believe that Widmore used to be on the island, but was "taken off" the very same way that Ben was -- by pushing the teleporter mechanism crank, and zapping away, unable to ever return. He DID say "It's always been my island". It's very possible that he was somehow suckered into leaving the island this way.

The only thing I'm not keen on is how, other than the Farady/Juliet/Sawyer/Bernard/etc... there only seems to be like five "nameless" survivors remaining. Overall the survivors camp on the island is dwindled down to like 10 people (or so it appears). This is a little bothersome, even if the number of heroes is down, it was always nice to know there were some 40 odd survivors roaming around the camp.

Now that we have only a handful left, and then the entire Others camp... are they simply going to absorb the remaining survivors and form one big group? Is there even any conflict left on the island? You've got the remaining survivors, and the Others, lead by Locke (who has no ill will toward the former) -- so is there any reason for anyone to fight and not just get along? I'm confused about what sort of dynamic there is left between these 2 factions.

    • I think Widmore had Ben's "job" at one point in time...blackfrancis
