a couple of you have got serious jealousy issues!
i went to bucks uni with si and from what i remember he's also a really talented designer and ideas man... he's obviously found success with his illustration/type style and has capitalized on it, which is clever as hell... i'm pretty sure he can adapt once this style stops getting him commissions...but as for replicating the type... i imagine thats a really hard task as it's a highly personal style, not really something you could learn, unless you are seriously talented at copying stuff... good luck anyway.

- I don't think anyone is jealous or even being overly critical, just kinda stating the obvious...neue75_bold
- if anything it is a rueful assessment of our profession--how anything new gets instantly coopted********

- i know, wasn't really referring to those... if the dude's client wants that style, then i'm guessing he either gives it a go and makes some cash or doesnt and doesnt make any cash!
indian_pole - some of the frustration of the grows out of the fact that we've all had clients who want us to imitate something else********
- and these comments always get construed as "hating" on the originator********
- indeed! - i feel the pain too... but if its a case of getting paid or not, i'm all for getting paid! and living to design something original another day!indian_pole
