Well, I've been there some time ago, '86 and I was born in Yugoslavia.

Dubrovnik is a beautiful place. The old fort, lots of old churches and places to visit.

I don't know when, but if I remeber well there is a theatre festival there in August. It is great since they use parts of the old fort as the stage for doing Shakespeare and other plays.

Has great discos and even better restaurants with local food.

Just there is the island of Lokrum which is a weird beach, since there is no beach, you just jump into the water from a few meters of a cliff. Also on the island the Botanic Park worth a visit.

The craziest place I've been to in the vicinity is Trsteno, it has a beautiful and big Arboretum, almost no sunlight under the trees and other flora, it seems like a controled jungle. It is 15min drive from Dubrovnik.

If You have time and the borders are open, I don't live there anymore so I am not sure, You can give Montenegro a try, Boka Kotorska is the only netural fyord in Europe, except for the ones in Scandinavia.

Don't even plan too much, people there are so nice, You'll have lots of fun, I'm sure.

    Don't forget a camera!!!
