Fireworks is a brilliant web design tool, much better than photoshop in many ways, although doesn't have the power nor filters like photoshop, it's much quicker and simpler to do easy things.
If I design a website I'll always use both fireworks and photoshop to do it - the results will be much easier and better than using just photoshop.
