    Here's some advice - grow up.

    Dinky, a cat who's probably pretty hooked up in NY, given that he's works at Ogilvy (assuming that's current), gave you an honest assesment of your portfolio (assuming THAT was current), and you behave like that? If someone is in a position to help you, you listen and learn from them, rather than piss in their hat and make gay jokes.

    Dinky was absolutely correct. This business is about who you know, and the relationships you can grow. You'll have no chance of landing a gig on this shore if you don't figure that out, and be so extraordinarily talented that a company will spend the money to get you here.
    If you were "just out of uni" a few years ago, and this is your networking strategy, you have some sad news facing you. Not gonna happen.
    I'd recommend educating yourself on every US based creative shop, the work they do, who works there, and how they like their asshole licked, cuz that's what it's going to take.
    Frankly, I hope this is a learning experience.
