Yes I did a long time ago in different times, and I know how you might feel. But listen, it's not a smart thing to make drastic changes today with all these economy issues, when very few companies actually invest money in marketing. It's like this, if you get a good salary at your work now, stick with it until everything picks up again. The point that I'm trying to make here man is that when you depend on yourself it becomes very stressful, because you're not only thinking to finish projects on time, you have to run around and find new projects all the time and judging by your posts above I can tell you that you will have trouble adopting to this new lifestyle. I will be honest with you man. I believe that most of the people here that work 100% freelance, go to bed every night (as I do) thinking about the next day and if they'll be able to get another project lined up. It's just the way it is. I've been on my own for the last 5 years and I know what I'm talking about. Of course you might get lucky and land a good deal from time to time but that's nothing compared to a full time job and salary that comes with it. You can buy a car without worries, buy a house or whatever. But ultimately it's your choice.
