What timing!
This is a real story, and it happened yesterday.
My wife works for a large midwest US bank right next door to my office. Yesterday, a new person was moved into an office on her floor. She asked her boss about him. Her boss said this guy has worked for the company for years, constantly promoted to his level of incompetence. 2 years ago, he reached a place so high in the company he was in boardrooms. He was fired, he really didnt do anything all day anyway.
Nobody cancelled his monthly paycheck and this guy continues to show at work everyday. He is moved form floor to floor as nobody likes him or has any understanding of wwhat he is supposed to be doing.
On top of all of this, my wife works with a bunch of midwestern idiots, none of which have seen Office Space or the stapler guy.
I swear to god this is true, i think what it is is that the guy is unstable, and they are afraid to tell him he is fired.
