  So do you think Solid wood or will ply surfice?

  The problem here in the UK is you can only readily get 250mm wide planks of redwood pine which is pretty shit. I need at least 300mm

  • I'd recommend plywood. Less wood movement and 3/4" birch can be had for $40 a sheet.blaw
  • trim with birch banding and apply a finish. I'm doing the casework for an entire library like that with maple doors/trim.blaw
