You've probably fixed this already but i have a win2k server at home for development and I've not had any problems with the Command-K way of doing it. However i set up Automator to connect to all the shares i need for an easy 1 click solution. Just make sure you set a 3-5 second delay between each connection to make sure there aren't any issues.
