I agree with canuck, it takes time to label a period, especially now. The last few movements I believe were numerous in a limited time-span. I mean the Bauhaus era... Then with the Abstract Expressionists, Dada, Fauvism, Pop, those weren't too far apart when compared to the Pre-Industrial Revolution age. I think the new movement will incorporate technology, obviously... How about if art just Died though? Who was the last person to have a great original impact on a huge scale, Pollack, Warhol... I don't even know, they haven't written the book yet...
